Welcome to the Richmond Puppy Raising Region — a community of dedicated volunteers, raisers, families, and dog lovers who work together to help future guide dogs grow into confident, capable partners. We’re proud to represent the Greater RVA Area in Wagathon 2026, and even prouder of the incredible dogs and humans who make this mission possible.
Who We Are
The Richmond Region is a vibrant, supportive group of raisers who open their homes and hearts to puppies in training. Our team includes:
First‑time raisers learning alongside their pups
Experienced raisers mentoring others
Families raising together
College students, retirees, and working professionals
A whole network of supporters who cheer us on
Every person in our region plays a role in helping these dogs take their first steps toward changing someone’s life.
