It’s Wagathon time—and Doyle, the HeidenPack, and I are all in! We’re walking 26.2 miles this September to raise funds and awareness for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, an organization that’s changed my life and the lives of so many others. Every step we take supports the journey of future guide dogs and their incredible partners.

For me, this journey began in 2021 when I became a puppy raiser. Since then, I’ve had the honor of raising four incredible dogs—each one teaching me something new about patience, purpose, and connection. Doyle, my current pup, is #4 in the lineup, and we’re eagerly awaiting puppy #5 this fall!

But this is more than just puppy raising. It’s about advocating for a community, growing as a person, and discovering a deeper sense of purpose. Guiding Eyes has given me big adventure, lifelong friendships, and a front-row seat to the kind of transformation that happens when extraordinary dogs meet extraordinary people.
