Welcome to my WAGATHON page!

The Wagathon is a cumulative marathon that I'm completing throughout the month of September. My goal is to hit 26.2 miles by September 30th – all while raising critical funds to support Guiding Eyes for the Blind. This is one of our biggest yearly fundraisers, and I'm excited to once again participate.

Since 1999, my family and I have been volunteer puppy raisers, raising a total of 23 puppies for this amazing cause. I'm currently raising a black Lab named Ed! This organization depends on volunteers, like me, to raise a puppy from 8 weeks to 16 months. During this time, our goal is to lay a strong foundation, raising a well-socialized & confident puppy who is ready to take on the world as a future guide dog. The dog's next step is to complete several months of professional training to learn the many skills of a guide dog.

It's estimated each guide dog is worth over $50,000. The best part? Each month, 12 dogs are placed FREE of charge to individuals who are blind or visually impaired. A Guiding Eyes dog means freedom, confidence, safety, and the opportunity to experience all of life's adventures - big and small. Together, these dogs are paired with just the right individuals whose lifestyle best matches each other.

Please consider making a donation of any size to support our mission. Click here to donate to my page. If you'd like to sign up to walk, there's still time to register.

Thank you for considering being a part of this mission that's very close to my heart!
