My name is Marin Baumer, a proud Guiding Eyes graduate, and the captain of Team Marin and Kegan in this year's WAGATHON. My journey began in May 2019, when a sudden accident took my sight just two weeks after graduating college. Faced with an uncertain future, I found hope and purpose through Guiding Eyes for the Blind, working towards receiving a guide dog.

In May 2021, I met Kegan, my first guide dog. Over the past three years, Kegan has been my constant companion, helping me navigate new environments and bringing immeasurable joy to my life. Known affectionately as "Samson" among our friends, Kegan and I love exploring new trails, attending exercise classes, and visiting family and friends.

Receiving Kegan has transformed my life, giving me the independence and confidence I never thought possible. We are beyond excited to participate in the WAGATHON and give back to the organization that changed my life.
